I was a single mum with two little ones and had not worked for over six years when a friend showed me a leaflet for women onto work.I jumped at the chance.

The WOW course was fantastic- I realised what skills i have, what opportunities are open to me and improved my confidence.The free childcare arrangements made such a difference and i made loads of new friends.

I did my placement as a Teaching Assistant at Forth Primary School in Leith.I enjoyed my time there and it helped me focus on my ambition to go on to further learning.

I am now studying Reflexology at University.I'm really glad to have done the WOW course.I never really thought i would go to Uni.Thanks to everyone at WOW.

I was a mum with little confidence.Despite running after my own kids all the time i thought i might like to work in childcare but didn't know what to do next.

I thoroughly enjoyed the WOW course.It has made me feel more independent, but the best bit was realising that am not stupid!

My work placement took me to Broomhouse Nursery, where i learned there is much more to childcare than i thought.This helped confirm my plans and now i am working part-time as a nursery assistantat at Colinton Private Nursery and studying  for my SVQ2 in Childcare.I am really enjoying the job and the hours fit in with my own kids.

I'd like to thank everyone associated with Women Onto Work.Keep on doing what you do- you help women like me a lot.

I am a qualified doctor and for the past fourteen years i have been a busy housewife  and mother.With my family commitments i didn't see how i could restart my career.

A friend recommended the WOW course and it completely changed my outlook and prospects.The women on the course and staff were so friendly and encouraging.I thoroughly enjoyed my work placement at NTS - a community health project.

Having completed the WOW course, I am excited to say i am now working part-time giving health assessment and coronary care advice at the Khush Dil Project for the NHS where i can also put my bilingual skills to good to use.

WOW is an eye-opener.It made me aware of my skills and opened up opportunities for me.I couldn't recommended WOW more highly.
