Hey there! My name is Lexi, I’m so glad you’re here.

To make things short and simple, I’m going to tell you about this blog in 5 statements – you ready? Here goes:

  1. Sempre Dolce is a blog dedicated to the art of dessert with some savory foods and a touch of life sprinkled in.
  2. Behind every recipe is a brother and sister on a mission to make the world a sweeter place, one recipe at a time. The sister (that’s me!) does the baking, while the brother (his name is Landon) does the photo taking… and taste testing.
  3. Sempre Dolce began after a growing passion for baking had come to the point of family suggesting I start a blog. I love putting my own twist on recipes and sharing the successful ones with you here. (I do actually love playing with savory dishes as well, but would rather keep this blog on the sweeter side – this world needs more sweetness, don’t you think?)
  4. The name of this blog is inspired by both my love of baking as well as my love for the piano and classical music. Sempre Dolce is an Italian term in music meaning (to play) “always sweetly” and non musically translated as “always sweet” – I chose the name to combine my two ♥s.
  5. Actually, that’s pretty much it! But I couldn’t leave it at four, so let me just say that I hope you feel in every post my love of baking (or whatever I happen to be writing about) coming through, and can find a delicious something to suit your unique tastes. If you have any comments or questions, I would love to hear from you and you can contact me here or via any of SD’s social media channels.

Now that we have become acquainted, please sit back, relax, and enjoy with me the joys of baking, eating, and then groaning at the mess created in the process!

Cottura Felice! (Happy Baking)

Beautiful blog, Lexi, and beautiful family! That's so sweet that you and your mom create and share the recipes together; my mom and I also love doing that. And it was so fun to read that you enjoy classical music and play piano, as I do too. Gorgeous photography and lovely recipes, so glad to have found your blog :)

You are so sweet! We're pretty much all food lovers/chefs/bakers in my family. I was wondering if I was the only person in the blogging world with a love of classical music, it seriously made my day me ecstatic to find out that I'm not! I'm so glad you visited - we definitely need to stay in touch. :) I love your blog and the story behind it! It's so pretty (photography included) and your recipes look delicious. :) Thanks so much again for visiting and for the sweet comments, it truly made my day! :)
