Employment Guidance Support
Employment and Careers
guidance is an important element of our programmes. Our Guidance
Workers work with women on an individual and group
work basis before, during and after the initial course.
The
Guidance Workers meet all women before they join our programme
to discuss their future plans and make sure that our
programme meets their needs.
Guidance
sessions on the courses can cover a variety of topics including:
| Choosing
a career |
| Interview
skills |
| Completing
application forms and CV’s for job vacancies |
| Advice
on training courses available |
| Qualifications/training
required for different careers |
| Information
on local employers and job opportunities |
| Information
on courses running in the community |
| Advice
on college/university courses |
| Funding
sources for further study |
We
also use the 'Skills and Interests Assement' tool,
which can help women come up with careers ideas if they
are unsure about what they want to do.

some instant online Guidance support why not try the Careers
Scotland link or some of the links on the useful links
page.
